Happy Monday Healthy Eaters!! Today's Focus is as always to continuing to T.Y.M.T (Talk Your Meals Through). As crazy as that might sound, it basically reversing your bad habits at a slow controlled pace where you not only learn how to eat healthier but you enjoy it as well!!! You give your food an evaluation so to speak. You want to learn how to eat healthy and enjoy food without the feeling of restriction or deprivation! When you start to evaluate each meal, you are simply looking for the healthiest way to eat that particular meal! For example, say that you are in your job's cafeteria and you have choices galore. You decide today you want to eat a hamburger and fries with all the trimmings and fixings. STOP!!! Now before you head off tho the register to pay for that meal, lets evaluate the meal for a quick moment. How many veggies do you have on the hamburger? What type of bun is it? What can you eat that might be healthier than fries as a side? Basically, you are asking yourself "HOW CAN I MAKE THIS MEAL HEALTHIER" I'm not asking you to make huge steps and cut off hamburgers and fries because you might not be ready to do so. I would rather you learn how to make what you like healthy and slowly see yourself making more and more healthier suggestions on your own! In time you will find yourself choosing healthier selections by default!! Love ya:)
