New Year......Make small changes that last a lifetime!!!
OK everyone it's that time again to create new solutions to old problems! Are you ready to break that cycle? Great well here's how this works. Make small changes everyday to create those everlasting effects. Habits especially those habits that you love are hard to break and take time as well as practice. You can use everyday to practice instead of using it to fail and quit. Wouldn't this seem like the better solution than to put so much pressure on yourself to make these huge changes.....Take this time to create small baby goals that every day you can work on. For example, eat 2 cups of fruits and 2 cups of veggies per day, measure them out and place them among your meals so that you are increasing your fruit and veggie intake. Or pick one of them to increase and practice to everyday so that it becomes a habit after a while. This year be good to yourself, treat yourself with love, patience, and understanding!! Happy 2014 everyone and Here's to better Health!!!

Ready to Change for good???
Good Day Healthy Eaters!!!! Today and everyday moving forward will be a day you can see a difference!!! Small changes everyday lead to even GREATER results!!! Are you ready to see a change and be able to maintain that change (be in Health and Fitness or otherwise) Everyday do something small to create a new healthier habit!!! Add veggies to that burger and lose the top piece of the whole grain bun!! Add spinach to those scrambled eggs!! Eat apple slices with that peanut butter!!! Park far away in the parking lot instead of close to the door!! Do 25 push-ups in the morning and evening!!! Make small changes or efforts everyday to create a habit instead setting a huge goal and being disappointed if it's not achieved. This way you learned what you did to get there and you CAN STAY THERE!!!!!
Hope this helps....Lisa

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!!! Today's Focus is about Preparation and Determination!!! You can accomplish any goal you wish to achieve, but you must prepare for it and be determined to see it come true! Eating Healthier is noooooo different, you feel the need to change but if you can't go 0 to 60 in 1 day you seem to give up, Does this sound remotely familiar??? Change your Eating Habits is creating a whole other lifestyle and you have to Prepare like you would for anything else that you are trying to create!!! Come up with a Goal that you can STICK TO! For example, at the moment my goal is to eat out ONCE a week, mainly Saturday. The other days I must Create & Prepare my own food!!! I make sure that I stick to my goal, and I eat Breakfast & Dinner at home while I prepare my lunch "to-go". I feel that this way I'm not dragging 3 meals around per day, only 1 meal and a snack!!!
Today's suggestion is to Create a lunch and 1-2 snacks to take with you, have breakfast & dinner at home (if at all possible) if not then prepare them and carry them with you as well....

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!!! Today's focus is how to turn your snacking and cooking into a healthy habit!....Creating your own snacks and cooking your own food will be a big part of your health goals. You should focus on the foods that you enjoy outside of the house and bring "mimic" the foods inside the kitchen!!!! Enjoy healthy foods that you create and learn to create the habit of eating in a manner in which is the healthiest for your body and loved ones around you.
Today's snack suggestion of the day: sliced honeydew melon/strawberry fruit salad with raw sunflower seeds!! Enjoy!!

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Today's focus is what small steps can you make daily to see a change in your habits!! Many of us are "creatures of Habit" or so I have heard. How do you take that "creature" and make it work to your benefit with healthy eating? You have to create a daily habit of healthy eating in order to secure the habit! Make a habit to EAT BREAKFAST every morning. I say this because I meet with clients who have not eaten breakfast since they were teenagers.....lol.....maybe an exaggeration. Three meals per day is something that once we were taught as children, has disappeared as we become adults. The body is like your own personal vehicle, If you run out of fuel (food), your car no longer works, correct? The body is no different, if we don't put any fuel into our system or we are constantly filling up with the wrong grade of fuel, we destroy our bodies!! Small Steps equal change anyway you look at it because essentially you are not doing the same thing that you were once doing to destroy yourself....Think about it, what can you do today that will help you begin to create a better habit. Eat a cup of fruit, Eat a cup of vegetables....I would rather you add to your meal fresh fruit or vegetables than for you too start too quickly that you don'y give yourself a chance to adjust and give up. Make a small change to your eating habits that leads to a Big Change!
*Today's Meal Suggestion: Open Face Sloppy Joe (with Ground turkey or beef) and Spinach with a strawberry/melon fruit salad
