If you change NOTHING....NOTHING will change!!!! Become the New You before the New Year!!

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Happy Thursday!!! Today's Focus is Making a change today for a better tomorrow!!! It might sound cliche buuuuuut  you have to start a good habit to stick with a good habit!!! Learn how to add more veggies to your meals and less junk food!!! More carrot sticks and cucumbers and less french fries and chips!! This will help you to not only eat healthier but also create a better habit!!! Why wait to New Year's to start, Change today!!! Make your next meal, your best meal!!!!! More Eating in & Less eating out!! You can be creative and re-create what you "crave". Add a 30 min walk or cardio to your day!!! Grab weights 5 lb, 8lb, or 10lb and throw in 2-3 days of weight training!!!!! You will be well on your "weigh" to becoming the New You before the New Year!!! I hope this helps, Love ya:)

Create Your Own "FAST FOOD"

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Today's Focus is creating your own Healthy "Fast Food"!! You can save money and satisfy your taste buds. The fast food concept is to create convenience, that concept can be duplicated by using healthy foods as opposed to unhealthy foods used at fast foods restaurants. For example, instead of going out to purchase a chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink for roughly 5 or 6 dollars, you can make your own. You can make a healthy version of this combo, using whole wheat bread, mustard ( a healthy condiment) and baked chicken that you have prepared. Believe me, I'm no chef but I can find way to enjoy food without it being bland but keep it healthy and taking in less calories that the normal fast food restaurant. All while saving 5 or 6 dollars!!! Imagine if you could save money daily by creating your own healthy "FAST FOOD"!!! I hope this helps.  Love ya:)

Small Change=Big Change

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Happy Thursday!!! Today's Focus is changing those habits that you have the hardest time getting away from!!! Pace yourself because you too can be helped!!! What is your worst habit? Doesn't it seem like all the will power in the world won't keep you out of this rut!! Think on a smaller scale, if you want to change something that feels like its impossible to change, then you should take smaller steps to change it!!! Set smaller goals than just giving something completely up!! For example, everyday should be a forward movement towards you goal!! I always use sugar as example because its the worst thing to put in your body on a daily basis and yet its so addictive!!! But I always suggest to my clients who have a sugar need to lessen the amount of sugar that you put in your body instead of going cold turkey only to revert back to the problem!! Use your Sugar Free products (although they too have sugar in them) they have a lesser amount but can still give your cravings a sweet kick!!! "Package your snacks" the greatest thing since slice bread to me are the little snack size plastic baggies that have come out. USE THEM!!! They allow you to portion out your Healthy snacks and foods so you can avoid the "Eating out of the Bag" situation which truly only prompts you to eat more!!! I hope this helps! Love ya:)

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Today's Focus is Challenging you inner voice!! When learning a new behavior, one should start at the bottom and work your way up! The bottom would be the bad eating habits and working your way up is your daily mental workout! You can say to yourself " Yes I could eat this, but how can I make this even healthier" You can start with something as simple as a doughnut!!! Yes you could eat a doughnut but what could I eat that would be healthier & yet give me the same or better satisfaction?? Peanut butter crackers, apples slices with peanut butter or nut butter, peanut butter on wheat toast, sugar free pudding or jello, or low fat yogurt!!! Always Think Ahead!!! We have instant urges and pick the unhealthier choice when you can T.Y.M.T (Think Your Meal Through) and make a healthier decision and get a the same satisfaction!!! Remember when you are making baby steps, celebrate your accomplishments!!! When you have made a healthier choice, acknowledge this and remember you can do this with every snack or meal!!! Challenge yourself, to eat little to no carbs during the evening, but T.Y.M.T first that way, you can start with a base meal, look at your protein and sides, see if they are not the healthiest of choices, what you can do tho make them healthier and in turn learning by practice, how you can LEARN how to eat healthier instead of cutting off only to learn nothing from the experience! Make Your bad, Good, Your Good Better and Your Better Best

Happy Monday Healthy Eaters!! Today's Focus is as always to continuing to T.Y.M.T (Talk Your Meals Through). As crazy as that might sound, it basically reversing your bad habits at a slow controlled pace where you not only learn how to eat healthier but you enjoy it as well!!! You give your food an evaluation so to speak. You want to learn how to eat healthy and enjoy food without the feeling of restriction or deprivation! When you start to evaluate each meal, you are simply looking for the healthiest way to eat that particular meal! For example, say that you are in your job's cafeteria and you have choices galore. You decide today you want to eat a hamburger and fries with all the trimmings and fixings. STOP!!! Now before you head off tho the register to pay for that meal, lets evaluate the meal for a quick moment. How many veggies do you have on the hamburger? What type of bun is it? What can you eat that might be healthier than fries as a side? Basically, you are asking yourself  "HOW CAN I MAKE THIS MEAL HEALTHIER" I'm not asking you to make huge steps and cut off hamburgers and fries because you might not be ready to do so. I would rather you learn how to make what you like healthy and slowly see yourself making more and more healthier suggestions on your own! In time you will find yourself choosing healthier selections by default!! Love ya:)
