Set yourself up to Succeed in Eating Healthy!!

Good Day Healthy Eaters!!! Happy Sunday to everyone! Quick Question for you today, what are you doing to set yourself up to succeed in the quest to eat healthier? What small changes or goals are you setting everyday to ensure that your body gets "used to" a healthier lifestyle instead of thrusting yourself into something that you may not be familiar with? These are questions that you should ask yourself if you are constantly on the Quitting and Starting over roller coaster. Creating a habit is not like making a whole change in one day or going from 0 mph to 100! You have to re-train and consistently do small things to set yourself up to reach the bigger goal. I only mention this because I believe that we all try to go from start to finish and somehow miss the whole learning journey in the process. You should set small obtainable goals everyday to allow your body to get the hang of the habit that you are trying to create. Its no easy feat to change something that you may not know how to change so cut yourself some slack, relax, and get ready to learn!!! Lisa

Set Daily Goals not Yearly Setbacks!!!!

Good Day Healthy Eaters.....This month should be about setting daily goals that can be managed and met as opposed to setting a "I'm going to get fit, this year" goal. If you've haven't succeeded then their might be a chance that you don't know how to sustain it yet. Set daily goals for ex. I'm going to include green vegetables in all of my meals today or another example would be "I'm going to eat fruit to help with my sweet tooth this week". See how many daily goals you can set for yourself, write them down close by so that you have that self-reminder, and go for it!!! Remember healthy habits were not built in a day, they built up gradually. Take your time, pat yourself on the back when you completed your goal, then create new ones!!! They key is to stay consistent to get your results and create your lifestyle! I hope this helps:) Lisa

Who says eating healthy is toooooo costly???! Have you tried it lately?

Good Day Healthy Eaters and not sooo Healthy Eaters....lol.....New Year New You huh? Well I can tell you that a New You definitely begins in the kitchen and the what you put into your bodies. Are you ready to make the small changes that lead to big goals? Sure everyone is and everyone has the capability to do so and succeed. Don't sell your local markets short by assuming the worst in grocery prices. I went to the grocery store today and I picked up 3 chicken breasts, asparagus, a sweet potato, carton of egg whites, a carton of almond milk, and honey dew fruit for $22.31. These are food items that a person or people can eat and enjoy for a week or less depending on the number of people in the household. You can invest a small amount of money in your health and fitness or a large amount of money in medical prescriptions. Have a Healthy Day!!!! Lisa
